Jobs

Jobs are a way to earn money through legal means across San Andreas. Players may only hold one job at a time.

To obtain a job:

  1. Visit City Hall
  2. Interact with the Job Pinboard
  3. Select the desired job

To quit your current job, use:

/quitjob


Delivery Driver

Work as a delivery driver by transporting freight across the city using a delivery truck.

Overview

Drivers are assigned delivery routes and must follow map markers to complete shipments and receive payment.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's licence

Taxi Driver

Overview

The Taxi Driver job is a City Hall occupation that allows players to earn money by transporting passengers around Los Santos County. Taxi Drivers can provide rides to both real players and NPC passengers through the dispatch system.

Whether you're driving citizens across Los Santos or responding to dispatch calls, the taxi job is one of the easiest and most social ways to make money while interacting with the community.

Getting Started

  1. Visit City Hall and obtain the Taxi Driver job.
  2. Spawn or obtain a taxi vehicle.
  3. Turn your taxi light on and begin searching for passengers.
  4. Accept rides from either real players or the dispatch system.

Passenger Types

Real Players

Taxi Drivers can transport real players throughout the city.

How It Works

  1. Drive around the city with your taxi light enabled.
  2. Players may approach your taxi and press Enter to request a ride.
  3. Speak with the passenger and determine their destination.
  4. Drive them safely to the requested location.
  5. Receive payment directly from the player.

Tips

  • Stay in populated areas for more customers.
  • Role-play professionally and realistically.
  • Drive safely to avoid damaging your taxi or injuring passengers.

NPC Passenger System

The Taxi Job also includes an NPC passenger dispatch system that provides automatic ride requests.

Opening the Dispatch Panel

Use the following command:

/taxio

This will open the Taxi Dispatch Panel.

Dispatch Panel Features

The dispatch panel provides:

  • Real-time available passenger orders
  • Pickup locations
  • Passenger destinations
  • Distance to passenger
  • Total trip distance
  • Estimated reward amount
  • Scrollable order list

Completing NPC Passenger Orders

  1. Open the dispatch panel using /taxio.
  2. Browse available passenger requests.
  3. Select and accept an order.
  4. Follow the GPS marker to the pickup location.
  5. The passenger will automatically enter your taxi.
  6. Drive the passenger to the marked destination.
  7. Upon arrival:
    1. The passenger exits the vehicle.
    2. The fare is automatically paid.
    3. The trip is completed.

Payment System

NPC Passengers

  • Payments are automatically calculated based on trip distance.
  • Reward amounts are displayed before accepting the order.
  • Payment is automatically received after successful completion.

Real Players

  • Fares are handled between players.
  • Drivers may negotiate prices or use standard role-play fare rates.

Taxi Driver Tips

  • Keep your vehicle in good condition.
  • Follow traffic laws and drive realistically.
  • Stay active in busy areas such as:
    • Downtown Los Santos
    • Hospitals
    • City Hall
    • Airports
    • Train Stations
  • Use the dispatch system when player activity is low.

Commands

Notes

  • NPC passenger orders update automatically.
  • GPS markers will guide you to both pickup and dropoff locations.
  • Taxi driving is an excellent beginner-friendly job for new players.

Bus Driver

Drive public transport routes around the city and transport passengers between bus stops.

Getting Started

  1. Go to the yellow blip near the depot
  2. Enter a Bus or Coach vehicle
  3. Start a route using:

/startbus

A random route will be assigned automatically.

Route Information

  • Yellow markers indicate route checkpoints
  • Red markers indicate bus stops

At red markers:

  • Pull into the stop
  • Wait until the marker disappears before leaving
  • Leaving early forfeits payment for that stop

Passenger Fares

Passengers automatically pay a $5 fare when boarding.

Drivers also receive:

  • Small payments per completed stop
  • Increased earnings based on hours played

Finishing the Route

The route ends back at the depot. Return there and use:

/startbus

to begin another route.


City Maintenance

City Maintenance workers help keep San Andreas clean by removing graffiti throughout the city.

Overview

Workers receive a spraycan and are tasked with painting over graffiti markers to earn money.


Mechanic

Mechanics provide repair and customization services for player-owned vehicles.

Right-click a vehicle while employed as a mechanic.

Pizza Delivery Driver

Deliver pizzas across the city using a scooter.

Getting Started

  1. Head to the pizza delivery blip
  2. Enter a Pizza Delivery vehicle
  3. Restock the vehicle using the restock marker

The vehicle must be stocked before deliveries can begin.

Making Deliveries

  1. Drive to the yellow marker shown on the map
  2. Exit the vehicle and approach the blue marker
  3. Wait briefly while the delivery is processed
  4. Continue to the next address automatically

Payment System

  • Each delivery pays a random amount
  • There is a 1-in-5 chance of receiving a tip

Finishing Your Shift

Return to the red finish marker outside the pizza shop to cash out.

Total earnings are:

  • Split between the driver and business owner
  • Paid together with any tips received

Sawmill Worker

Work at the sawmill by cutting trees and transporting logs using forklifts.

Getting Started

  1. Go to the sawmill blip
  2. Speak to Mike Mitchell to receive a chainsaw
  3. Obtain a forklift from the nearby hilltop

Felling Trees

  1. Equip the chainsaw
  2. Approach a fully grown tree
  3. Press LMB (fire) to begin cutting
  4. Remain still until cutting is complete

Trees take between 7 and 14 seconds to fall.

Transporting Logs

  1. Enter a forklift
  2. Drive up to a felled log
  3. Press DEL to lift the log
  4. Deliver the log to a collection marker
  5. Receive payment automatically
  6. Press INS to release the log

Notes

  • Leaving the sawmill zone removes your chainsaw automatically
  • Only fully grown trees may be cut
  • Newly felled logs temporarily belong only to the player who cut them
