Savline Roleplay – MTA:SA Server Rules

Chapter 1: General Server Rules

1.1 General Conduct

Players must treat others respectfully at all times.

The following behavior is prohibited:

  • Insulting
  • Trolling
  • Flaming
  • Spamming
  • Disruptive conduct

Enforcement is handled at administrator discretion.


1.2 Multiple Accounts

Using more than one account on the server or forums from the same IP/computer is prohibited.

Multiaccounting is a bannable offense.

If you are playing with a sibling or relative:

  • Approval from Savline HQ is required
  • Shared serial usage is never permitted without approval

1.2.1 Selling Accounts

Selling accounts is strictly prohibited.

Accounts are personal and may only belong to one player.


1.3 Transferring Assets

Asset transfers are restricted to players with premium transfer perks.

Transferable assets include:

  • Money
  • Vehicles
  • Properties

Weapon transfers are never permitted.

Impounded or seized vehicles will not be returned after transfer.


1.4 Scams

Scamming vehicles or properties is prohibited.

Example of scamming:

  • Promising payment after receiving a property or vehicle and refusing to pay

Not considered scamming:

  • Taking property or vehicles through roleplayed robbery or force

1.5 AFKing

Players should not AFK in public areas.

Use:

  • The F10 character selection screen, or
  • Appropriate private locations

when going AFK.


1.6 Server Advertising

Advertising other servers, communities, or groups is prohibited.


1.7 Bugs and Script Abuse

Bug abuse is prohibited.

Players must report bugs through the official bug tracker.

Exploiting bugs for personal gain may result in severe punishment.


1.8 Currencies

In-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC) currencies must remain separate.

IC assets include:

  • Money
  • Vehicles
  • Properties
  • Items

OOC assets include:

  • Premium Credits
  • Real-world currency

Trading IC assets for OOC currency (or vice versa) is prohibited except through official premium systems.


1.9 Inactivity

Inactive assets may be force-sold.

Assets include:

  • Interiors
  • Vehicles

Money and items are not removed.

Assets become inactive if:

  • Unused for 14 days, or
  • The owner has been inactive for 30 days

1.9.1 Interiors

Sub-interiors tied to a property are force-sold together.

Administrators may also force-sell interiors if players attempt to bypass inactivity checks without genuine roleplay activity.

1.9.2 Vehicles

Vehicles are force-sold if:

  • They are parked inside force-sold interiors while the owner is inactive for 30 days, or
  • They remain unused for 14 days

1.10 Impersonations

Impersonating players or staff members is prohibited.


1.11 Inappropriate & Illegal Content

Illegal content is prohibited.

Nudity or gore:

  • Must include warnings
  • Must include spoilers
  • Must remain roleplay relevant

1.11.1 Retexturing

Erotic or socially unacceptable textures are only permitted in suitable private areas.

Billboard textures are restricted to:

  • Official legal factions
  • Approved businesses

1.11.2 Third Party Programs

All server rules apply to official third-party services.

Unapproved voice or chat platforms may not be used for IC communication.


1.12 External Websites

External websites may not be used for IC purposes unless approved by Savline HQ.

Approved exceptions include:

  • Linkbook
  • Certain approved Google Drive usage for official factions

Chapter 2: Roleplay Rules

2.1 Always Roleplay

Players must remain in-character unless explicitly permitted otherwise.

2.1.1 Brawls

Players may mutually agree OOCly to use GTA-style physics for fistfights.

2.1.2 Vehicular Pursuits

PIT maneuvers are exempt from strict roleplay typing requirements.


2.2 Metagaming

Using OOC information ICly is prohibited.

Encouraging or assisting metagaming is equally punishable.


2.3 Powergaming

Powergaming is prohibited.

Examples include:

  • Forcing RP outcomes
  • Denying reactions
  • Using items not properly obtained
  • Unrealistic or superhuman behavior

2.3.1 Character Development

Specialized characters require HQ approval.

Examples:

  • Mentally challenged characters
  • Martial artists
  • Special forces characters

2.3.2 Vehicles

Using vehicles unrealistically is considered powergaming.

Example:

  • Supercars climbing mountains unrealistically

2.4 Deathmatching

Killing another player without a valid roleplay reason is prohibited.


2.5 Death

2.5.1 Player Kills (PK)

After respawning, players may not return to the same roleplay situation.

2.5.2 Character Kills (CK)

Permanent character death requires approval or an accepted CK application.

Some situations may result in automatic CKs if injuries are realistically fatal.

2.5.3 Disregard for Life

Unrealistic disregard for safety or life is prohibited.

Examples:

  • Pulling weapons during simple traffic stops
  • Reckless crashes
  • Unrealistic “invincible” police behavior

2.6 Extreme Roleplay

2.6.1 Consent

All participants and witnesses must consent to roleplay involving:

  • Rape
  • Cannibalism
  • Bestiality
  • Necrophilia
  • Sexual harassment

Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

2.6.2 Prohibited Roleplay

The following are never permitted:

  • Sexual roleplay involving minors
  • Incest

2.7 Roleplay Binds

One-handed weapon binds are permitted.

Two-handed weapons require manual /me roleplay unless already visibly accessible.


2.8 Logging Out During RP

Logging out during roleplay is prohibited unless due to a real-life emergency.

2.8.1 Law Enforcement Situations

Players involved in criminal activity must wait 30 minutes before logging out.


2.9 Provoking / Copbaiting

Purposely provoking law enforcement without valid roleplay reason is prohibited.


2.10 Evidence

Roleplay actions may leave evidence behind.

Possible evidence includes:

  • CCTV footage
  • Fingerprints
  • Shoe prints
  • Witnesses
  • Glass fragments

Players should document evidence using notes where appropriate.


2.11 Vehicle Descriptions

/ed descriptions should only describe visible vehicle features.


2.12 CCTV Cameras

Default CCTV assumptions:

  • 180° viewing angle
  • 4K quality
  • 30–60 FPS recording

Custom installations require:

  • Administrator approval
  • Interior notes

Government buildings and gas stations are assumed to have CCTV.


2.13 Roleplay Zone

Roleplay is limited to Los Santos County except approved areas such as:

  • Major airports
  • Area 69
  • Drag strip
  • Import locations
  • Golf course

Chapter 3: Legal Roleplay Rules

3.1 Gates

Gates require:

  • Ownership permission
  • Mapping Team approval

3.2 Generic Items

Important RP-affecting items must physically exist as generic items.

Examples:

  • Gloves
  • Baseball bats
  • CCTV cameras

Illegal-use items should originate through illegal factions or approved FT requests.


3.3 Interiors

Related interiors must be purchased together.

Destroyed interiors require renovation roleplay before reuse.


3.4 Weapon Licenses

Weapon licenses are obtained ICly through LSPD paperwork.

Legally purchased weapons:

  • Cannot be sold illegally
  • Cannot be used for criminal activity

3.5 NPCs & Shops

Security NPC usage is heavily restricted.

NPC limits depend on:

  • Store type
  • Property value

Store Classes

Superstores valued above $105,000 may have:

  • Any 5 NPCs
  • Unlimited custom NPCs

Chapter 4: Criminal Rules

4.1 Restricted Areas

Serious crimes in high-profile areas require sufficient law enforcement online.

Examples:

  • City Hall
  • Hospitals
  • Police HQ
  • Detention center
  • Bank of Los Santos

4.2 Arson

Arson requires:

  • Administrator approval
  • Sufficient emergency responders online

4.2.1 Small Fires

Small contained fires may proceed without firefighters online.

4.2.2 Large Fires

Large fires require at minimum:

  • 2 firefighters
  • 3+ firefighters if rescues are involved

4.3 Kidnapping

Kidnappings involving starvation require approved CKs.

Victims must otherwise be fed or released.


4.4 Property Break-Ins, Robbery & Theft

Administrator approval is required for forced-entry methods.

Players may not rob:

  • Characters under 10 hours
  • Players under 5 total hours
  • Police equipment
  • Badges or IDs
  • Custom skins
  • More than $5,000 through stolen ATM cards
  • Keys without consent

4.4.1 Residential Property

Residential robberies require:

  • 2 law enforcement officers online
  • The owner not recently logged out inside

4.4.2 Commercial Property

Commercial robberies require 2 law enforcement officers online.

4.4.3 Faction & Government Property

Faction and government property robberies require appropriate law enforcement availability.

4.4.4 Warrants & Inspections

Law enforcement and emergency services may enter properties with valid roleplay reason.

4.4.5 Safes

Safes are assumed to be standard mid-tier household safes unless specified otherwise.

4.4.6 Character Robberies

PKs may not be abused to force amnesia after petty robberies.

4.4.7 Vehicle Robberies

Stealing contents from vehicles does not require the owner to be online.

Government vehicles require administrator approval.

4.4.8 Vehicle Thefts

Vehicle theft is limited to:

  • Once every 24 hours
  • Government vehicles requiring approval

Vehicles belonging to timeouted players may not be stolen.


Chapter 5: Faction Rules

5.1 Faction Wars

5.1.1 Starting & Ending Wars

Faction wars require Faction Team approval.

5.1.2 Character Kills

All violent faction-war conflicts are treated as CK situations.

5.1.3 Alternate Characters

Alternate characters are prohibited during faction wars unless specifically approved.


5.2 Use of Government Perks

Government-supported factions may not exceed $1,500 wages except during temporary approved bonuses.


5.3 Corruption

Government corruption requires FT-approved parameters.

Financial corruption additionally requires:

  • FT leadership approval
  • HQ approval

5.4 Faction Recruitment

Players permanently leaving factions must:

  • Wait 72 hours before rejoining
  • Wait 14 days before regaining near-previous ranks

5.5 Alternate Characters

Faction leaders may request approved personal alternate characters.


5.6 Faction Shutdown

Faction leaders must unanimously agree on shutdown-related actions.


5.7 Interior Activity

Faction interiors must remain actively used.

Inactive or hoarded faction interiors may be force-sold.
